White-o-mania

White is the new Black, so if you are considering what to invest in the money you have (or maybe not have, go for white.
We have some tips on how to look your best in white!

A white skirt is the easiest way of integrating white into your wardrobe. It is also a smart purchase since a white skirt can be exploited for anything from a walk on the beach to a fancy party:)
To start with, update your look with a full white skirt and pair it with a skinny neutral belt and loose blouse, as seen on the Bottega Veneta runway, or try a lightweight skirt like Diane Kruger.

This spring, the designers seem to think that white looks just as good as a single item as it does on an entire outfit. Alexander Wang layered white upon white upon white and finished the look with white hair accessories, a white purse and white shoes. Think it's too much? Not this spring, thinks  Leighton Meester (as well).

Long white dresses aren't just for bridal gowns anymore. Gwyneth Paltrow mastered the chic, minimal look in an Emilio Pucci gown, and Derek Lam showed off his version on his spring runway.

Mix white and sheer for an updated all-white look. So does D&G and Natalie Portman for a nostalgic/romantic look. ´Less is more´ is the key to pull this look.

If you are more of a rock type and all-white and romantic is not your thing, do it like Jenni Kayne and add a metallic silver into the white outfit. A less bold, but none the less party-worthy look Lea Michele got with a silver and white print mini.

Now about the important. If you do not want your whites to look outdated or eye-hurtingly plain, do not wear white and another strong colour in a two-colour combination (an exception is of course black). Make it shades of nudes and add a third matching or a contrasting colour (with a small detail like a belt or a scarf).

The accessories can be even bolder and more mismatching, as long as the style allows (and they can´t be the same colour!).

We personally love summerier white dresses with rougher and less summery rest of the outfit. Like leather jackets and boots, knitted sweaters and cardigans. It makes the whole white thing more edgy and less scary for those who are a bit above standard size 0:)

And last but not least, tan is the best accessory to a nice white dress, so we wish you all a sunny week!
