Summer is finally here and the sun is out, which means one thing – it’s time to invest in some new sunglasses! We decided to post about sunglasses that are in and hot this season. Check them out:)
But to begin with, we googled about sunglasses and found out (long live wikipedia!:) that the history of sunglasses dates back to ancient China and Rome. Sunglasses underwent the change into the popular item they are today when Sam Foster introduced them to America in 1929. These sunglasses were designed to protect people’s eyes from the sun. Movie stars and musicians also began to wear sunglasses. They started to become not only a way to protect against sun glare, but also a way to be “cool.”

Now about our time and trends:
- It's time to revisit the 1950s as the infamous cat-eye sunglasses return to must-have lists.

- Colours and more colours: coloured frames and coloured lenses to add a splash of sunshine to summer wardrobe. We agree that this might be a bit too much, but aren't accessories called 'that little extra'? Extra point to those who 'dear to wear':)

- Another trend of the not-that-well-forgotten past: 'John Lennon glasses'. Those round small glasses, which we fairly think aren't flattering for most of the facetypes, are made for people with good sense of humour.
- Butterfly shaped sunglasses is another trend of summer that fits summer well! Oversized or smaller, we love those all! And it fits most of the face types (we have checked!:)

And of course timeless classics: wayfarers, aviators and dark 'movie star shades'.

To finish with, we will post our own acquisitions for the summer.

And to finish with, as someone smarter than us said: Experiment with a number of different styles to find your ideal pair and remember to wear your chosen set with the best accessory of all … CONFIDENCE!
